After gaining a Distinction at Lowestoft Boat Building College, Katie spent the next 15 years at Petticrows, the preeminent worldwide International Dragon builder, working on production and product development.
In 2012 she established her own business, with a bespoke factory guaranteeing her commitment to perfection. Facilities including fibreglass, woodwork, spraying and rigging, allow her to offer a complete maintenance package incorporating both repairs and regular servicing.
In 2021 Petticrows relocated to Portugal and Katie was appointed the UK and Ireland agent for the company. This includes supplying all spare parts for the Dragon. Petticrows Website
While Dragons (both modern and classic) are the largest class serviced, she also undertakes work on dinghies, cruisers and other classes, with customers travelling from all over the UK and Europe for her unique service.
Having raced yachts at the highest levels for over 25 years, including with Olympic Gold Medallists, she understands the demands of yacht and dinghy racing, and continues to travel worldwide supporting yachts and dinghies at World Championships.
